- We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician for our client based in the Malton area.
This position is in the manufacturing of their Tier 1 products department and is reporting to the engineering manager and production manager. You will be required to deal with the manufacture of PCB's and electrical equipment, along with the test and repair of their products.
In the role you will be responsible for:
Electrical and functional testing of PCB assemblies and finished products Component level fault finding Product assembly final visual inspection of products.
The product rework and modification including component removal and replacement Calibration of test equipment and maintenance of database.
The successful candidate will need to be confident and a good communicator capable of demonstrating initiative, resourcefulness and a practical skills. Have knowledge of intrinsically safe techniques and the requirements of the ATEX Directive would be useful but is not essential. Must be aware and adhere to health and safety practices at all times.
Must be proficient in written and spoken English with a good knowledge of MS Office.
Successful candidates must ideally have an Electronics Engineer qualification with at least 3 years' experience. Have experience of working within an electronics environment.
This role would suit a graduate who has gained good work experience, someone looking to progress on their career path and or someone who has a love for electronics and tinkering with electronic equipment.
A good understanding of PC architecture Knowledge of Ethernet and Wi-Fi, analogue and digital techniques A knowledge of working in an ISO9000 repair and manufacturing environment.
