Wire Assembly Operative
Fusion Resources are delighted to be working in partnership with a very successful Manufacturing business in the Malton area who after a period of regained growth and success with continuous orders are now looking for number of new people to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Job
To undertake the production and assembly of component and electrical products.
Assemble and finish equipment according to information supplied as scheduled by the assembly lead and production supervisor.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Read and interpret drawings/Specifications, wiring schematics and work orders
Be able to wire and assemble electrical components to technical specification.
Cable kit preparation, cutting, stripping and crimping of cables, or otherwise assemble the materials used to produce cable assemblies.
To perform prescribed operations and follow instructions from the production supervisor and team leader.
Working to tight deadlines in a busy environment as part of a team and individual.
Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Employee is responsible for determining if he/she has adequate information and materials to complete tasks as directed.
Safely moves completed work to assigned location(s).
As needed for the specific assignment, may use hand tools or operate bench mounted air/power assist tools to complete work assignment(s).
In accordance with work orders, job directions and dimensional drawings, retrieves components and/or supplies from designated stock areas and sets up work area.
Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures and by reporting any safety concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Driving licence and own transport (unless local)
Experience/Qualifications Required
Experience in a similar role is required
Previous experience of air and hand tools
Good communication skills and people awareness
Experience in reading technical drawings
Attention to detail and good hand to eye coordination is essentialThe Pay Rates
£19'800 p/a basic, overtime available at time and a half
