IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE
Please stay indoors and avoid contact with other people if you have either:
- A high temperature above 37.8 – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
- A new, continuous persistant cough – this means you have started coughing repeatedly
Notify your local branch by phone or email and DO NOT attend your assignment.
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you are staying at home.
Please stay at home in isolation:
- For 7 days if you have symptoms
- For 14 days if you live with other people who have symptoms, from the day the first person had those symptoms.
If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after 7 days, contact NHS 11 online. If you have no Internet access, call NHS 111. For a medical emergency, dial 999.
If you have no symptoms, we still ask you to limit social contact and follow the government guidelines of social distancing where possible.

Temporary Key Worker Letters
All our employees which are classed as ‘key or essential workers’ have already been issues with letters however if you need another copy please email your Fusion contact.
Temporary Worker Sick Pay
Temporary Workers' sick pay will be paid in line with the emergency legislation proposed by the Government allowing statutory sick pay to be made on the first day of sickness absence.
If you are suffering from any symptoms, please contact Fusion Resources, we will then issue you with email instructions regarding Self Isolation Notices.
Symptoms include:
- a dry cough
- a high temperature
- shortness of breath
These symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the illness. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.
Car Sharing
When using a private vehicle to make a journey that is essential, cars should only be shared by members of the same household. Those who normally share a car with people who are not members of their own household for a journey e.g. getting to work, should consider alternatives such as walking, cycling and public transport where you maintain a distance of 2 metres from others.
If the journey is essential, such as travel to work and there is no option but to share with people who are not part of the same household, journeys should be shared with the same individuals with the minimum number of people at any one time.
Good ventilation, such as an open window and facing away from others may lower risk of transmission.
Cars should be cleaned regularly with standard cleaning products (wearing gloves) paying attention to handles and other areas which passengers may touch.
2 Meter Rule
Anyone failing to follow the 2-meter Social Distancing Rule as Government guidelines, will be asked to leave site without pay.
Please Remember:
•Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze. See Catch it, Bin it, Kill it.
•Put used tissues in the bin straight away.
•Wash your hands with soap and water often – use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available. See hand washing guidance.
•Wash hands for at least 20 seconds, the guidance is singing happy birthday to you, twice.
•Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
•Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
•Do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean.
