- We have a new and exciting opportunity arise at our prestigious clients in Malton, North Yorkshire for a Production Supervisor.
Role:- Complete and continuously update the production plan, while scheduling and directing the operators, and giving feedback to the production manager and purchasing on progress and any related problems or delays.
- Liaise with the goods in and stores department to ensure kits arrive on time and are ready as per the production plan.
- Monitor current systems to gauge efficiency.
- Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains staff by developing personal growth opportunities and organising/monitoring training.
- Collecting performance data and reviewing timings and performance of builds.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards, and culture.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production documents and records, answering questions and responding to requests.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and implementing change.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolves production problems by analysing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Previous supervisory, or production planning experience is essential.
- Experience or knowledge in soldering both SMD and through-hole components (training to IPC standards would be hugely beneficial).
- Knowledge of electronic assembly, panel wiring, and manufacturing.
- Excellent IT skills, especially with Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- A knowledge or understanding of ‘Graphical Planner’ would also be advantageous, although not essential.
- Superb communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
The working hours are 08:30 – 16:30, Monday to Friday, 30 mins for lunch, and 2x 15 min breaks during morning and afternoon. Overtime where needed is paid at 1.5x during weekdays, and 2x on weekends. Quarterly bonuses are given dependent on company output.
The wage for this role will be £18k-£19.5k per annum, dependant on experience and performance.
