Duties
To deliver a high quality customer focused cyclical maintenance service giving assurance that all regulatory and statutory duties are achieved.
Ensure Health and Safety processes are in place and up to date to meet our regulatory obligations, specifically in relation to Gas, Asbestos, Fire Safety, Legionella, Electrical Testing and other H&S areas to protect our customers and properties
1. Become a competent person in relation to all Health and Safety (H&S) related compliance issues.
2. Deliver a high quality, customer focused H&S compliance service which meets all the regulatory and statutory duties.
3. Take responsibility for setting up, monitoring and managing IT systems to hold records/dates of key legislative compliant services/areas, including: gas servicing, fire risk assessment/reviews, legionella/water testing, asbestos management, electrical testing, life maintenance, DDA audits.
4. Act upon immediately any breaches in compliance and escalate to the line manager and leadership team as appropriate.
5. Assist the Maintenance Manager (Planned) in preparing work specifications, drawings and all other contract and tender documents for contractors and consultants in relation to H&S compliance works.
6. Assist the Maintenance manager (Planned) in procuring compliance works/services in line with the companies Procurement Policy and Procedures.
7. Provide feedback to the Maintenance Manager (Planned) regarding the quality and performance of the relevant H&S contractors to enable him/her to effectively manage and monitor contractors to ensure they meet their contractual obligations in relation to cost, quality and performance.
8. Ensure gas servicing, fire risk assessment, asbestos inspections, electrical testing and legionella testing are carried out in accordance with current legislation and industry best practice. To ensure that Lift maintenance and disability discrimination act audits are undertaken as and when required.
9. To attend and chair H&S compliance action plan progress meetings as required and ensuring that minutes are prepared and circulated.
This is a Monday to Friday Role for a minimum of 8 weeks but could lead to more work. immediate Start
