Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator specialising in food production. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining food processing machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. Duties

• Operate food processing machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations
• Metal Detection 
• follow receipt cards
• Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal operation
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent malfunctions
• Ensure compliance with HACCP standards and other food safety regulations throughout the production process
• Record production data accurately, including quantities produced and machine performance metrics
• Assist with cleaning and sanitising machinery following strict hygiene protocols
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using basic mechanical knowledge to minimise downtime
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment at all times

Skills

• Experience in food production environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
• HACCP or CCP experience and training
• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
• Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients, adjusting settings, and recording data effectively
• Ability to work efficiently within a team and follow detailed instructions precisely
