Job Overview

We are seeking motivated and experienced Food Factory Team Leaders to oversee daily operations within our clients manufacturing facility. The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising production teams, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining efficient workflow. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food production and leadership to contribute to a dynamic and quality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production teams to meet daily targets while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Ensure adherence to HACCP protocols and other relevant food safety regulations throughout the production process.
  • Monitor equipment operation, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Enforce strict hygiene practices among team members and oversee cleaning schedules to comply with health standards.
  • Organise shift activities, allocate tasks efficiently, and support team members in achieving operational goals.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to production, safety checks, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to new staff on food safety procedures, equipment use, and operational protocols.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food production or manufacturing environments, with a strong understanding of HACCP principles.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance within the food industry.
  • Mechanical knowledge is desirable to assist with equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Basic maths skills for recording measurements, quantities, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to lead teams effectively and ensure clear instructions are followed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Working in a cold /chilled environment 

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to food safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Hours 8am - 5pm
